Privacy Policy

Orchard Vale Renewables Ltd (company number 16754860), Matt’s Lane, Stoke-sub-Hamdon, Somerset TA14 6QE (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect and why

Quote and contact enquiries. When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, property address or postcode, the service you are interested in, details about your property, and any photos or notes you upload. We use this to assess your enquiry, prepare a proposal, arrange a survey, and carry out the work if you go ahead. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing that contract.

Customers. If you become a customer we also hold the information needed to design, install, certify and support your system, including MCS, DNO and warranty registrations, and invoices. We keep this for the life of the installation warranty and for the periods required by law.

Website analytics and advertising. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how people find and use the site and to measure our advertising. These services use cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and how you reached the site. Where consent is required, these only run with your agreement.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only where needed to deliver our services: with our certification and compliance bodies (for example MCS and NAPIT), the Distribution Network Operator for grid notifications, equipment manufacturers for warranty registration, our accountants and insurers, and the providers that host our website and email. Enquiry form submissions are stored securely on our website and sent to our business email only.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Customer records are kept for the warranty period of the installation plus 6 years, to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Cookies

This site uses essential cookies to work properly, and analytics and advertising cookies from Google to measure visits and ad performance. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. To do any of these, email info@orchardvalerenewables.com or call 01935 348314. If you are not happy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
